batampos – Bayern Munich have agreed Liverpool’s terms for Sadio Mane. Bayern will spend around 35 million pounds to sign the 30-year-old Senegal forward, who has a year remaining on his Liverpool contract.

It was reported by Sky Sports and BBC that Sadio Mane is expected to sign a three-year contract. The Senegalese will undergo a medical next week.

Mane will leave Anfield after 269 appearances and 120 goals in all competitions which is a remarkable achievement. He led the club to the Champions League title in 2018-19 and the Premier League crown one season later.

Mane was one of Liverpool’s standout players last season, scoring 23 goals as Juergen Klopp’s side won two domestic cups and nearly cost Manchester City the league title. Mane won a total of six trophies after being bought for £34m from Southampton in June 2016.

Together with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, they formed a deadly attacking trio for the Reds. Klopp last month praised Mane as a world-class player. But a player who wanted a new challenge turned down a new contract from Liverpool.

Mane is Klopp’s first big signing after taking charge of Liverpool as he began to revitalize the club. Klopp brought them back to the top after years of disappointing results.

The arrival of the Senegal international proved to be a major turnaround thanks to the combination of his pace, ingenuity and hard work that led Liverpool to Champions League qualification in his first season.

Mane will be Bayern’s third signing of the season after Ajax Amsterdam duo Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazrouai. (*)
